To be eligible to book online appointments, you need to sign up for ONLINE APPOINTMENT BOOKING, at the surgery. For more information please contact our reception.
The surgery lines are open from 08:00 to 18:30.
If you require an emergency appointment or on the day appointment you need to telephone the surgery at 8.00 am. However we are able to pre book appointments upto a month in advance.
Extended Surgery Hours
The surgery runs an extended hours service every Monday from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
Doctors are available for consultation during the times shown above. Please note that your doctor may not always be available on the same day and twice each week.
We realise that problems sometimes arise unexpectedly therefore we have specifically allocated appointments reserved for the day, if you feel you need to be seen urgently, please explain your urgency to the receptionist who will then triage appointments according to the medical condition and surgery.
A Weekend Hub has been set up for patients who are working during the week and unable to see a GP. The Hub offers general appointments which are prebookable weekly either with a GP or Nurse located at 2 different sites ; The Halliwell Surgery, Lindfield Drive, BOLTON, BL1 3RG and Deane Medical Centre., 155-157 Deane Road, BOLTON, BL3 5AH. Appointments are booked via your GP surgery.
Appointments are available:
9am - 1pm Saturday
10am - 1pm Sunday
9am - 1pm Bank holidays
This is not a walk in centre, therefore these NON-URGENT and ROUTINE appointments must be booked in advance.

To help us deliver the best possible service to all our patients:
- Please arrive on time for your appointment
- Please let us know if you cannot keep an appointment
- Please book separate appointments for each individual
- Please tell the receptionist if you need a longer appointment
- If you arrive ten minutes late for your appointment you will need to rebook as you will not be seen
Patients are asked to keep appointments to ensure effective running of the practice and for the appropriate use of the doctors' time. If a patient misses two or more appointments without letting us know in advance we will send a letter.
We do not tolerate violent or aggressive behaviour from patients and other visitors. Unreasonable or threatening behaviour will be dealt with quickly and severely and will result in patients being removed from the practice.
