NHS Stay Well Walks

Stay well walks will be commencing soon and we will be doing walks during lunch time to help motivate patients to exercise.

 

PRACTICE PARTICIPATION GROUP (PPG)

  

ARE YOU AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF THE COMMUNITY? MAYBE YOU WOULD LIKE TO JOIN OUR PPG?

The Sidda Family Practice has had a PPG for several years now, with approximately 10 members.  If you are interested in being the voice of the patients and would like to participate in the group as a representative for the patients and the surgery, working in the community, please contact the surgery for more details on how to.

 

Nurses

Nurse Shaheen Ali (f)

Our Practice nurse, Shaheen is a qualified and registered nurse. She can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and smear tests.

The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.

Mr Ian Hadlow (m)

Ian Hadlow Registered Nurse-Mental Health, Specialist Practitioner-Mental Health

 

Dip in Nursing, BSc(Hons) Community Mental Health, PgCert in Systemic Family Therapy

 

Ian is an experienced mental health nurse who has recently joined the practice. He is able to assess and signpost patients to the most appropriate local services with Bolton.

Mr Willam McDermott (m)

Will McDermott (m)

Will is our Musculoskeletal Practitioner and he is able to help with problems such as joint pain, muscle aches and pain and other similar issues.  He is with us on a Wednesday mornings and you do not need a referral from the Doctor to see him, you can make an appointment as you would with any GP.

Healthcare Assistants

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
