World AMR Awareness
Taking ANTIBIOTICS when you don’t need them puts you and your family at risk.
Our Practice Pledge
- When we see a child with a respiratory tract infection we will share the “When should I worry” booklet with parents/carers. Available at When should I worry-Booklet_England
- We will ensure all prescribers in the practice including locums have easy access to the local and national antibiotic guidance
- When we see a patient with a self-limiting respiratory tract infection, we will discuss methods of self-care and safety netting rather than prescribing antibiotics and share the TARGET “Treating your infection” leaflet available at 24.11.14 UKHSA_Common Infection leaflet A5_05.pdf
- To help address patient expectations for antibiotics in self-limiting conditions, we will promote nationally or locally agreed key messages, to raise awareness of antimicrobial resistance.
The practice's AMS Champion is Dr Uddin.
